What debt reduction /consolidation agency that will give high discount to help pay off credit card debts?
Q. I need help with paying off my credit card debts. There are so many debt reduction /consolidation agencies that I don't know which one is good/authentic and will give the best rate (discount). For those who had gone through this experience, please advise. Thanks.

A. I wouldn't use any of them they are rip off artists. They take your money and do nothing, been there done that. Go to Consumer Counseling, in every city or county, it is free, non profit and they don't charge but they will contact all the places you owe money to and get you with lower payments and great ways of getting out of debt !! They are well known by all companies and acknowledge Consumer Credit Counseling as serious and good to work with .

How important is it to have vibration reduction in a 70-300mm lens?
Q. I'm looking for a 70-300mm lens for my Nikon D40. I can get one for $180 without vibration reduction. With vibration reduction it costs $560. How worth it is it to have vibration reduction?
Asked by Kelsey P - Sat Nov 17 23:25:57 2007 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. If you want to take pictures that are not so blurry, especially if you are having trouble using a telephoto lens, look for a camera or lens that is designed to help you eliminate this blur caused by slight hand shaking. This technology is known as "image stabilization," "vibration reduction," "shake reduction," "optical stabilization," and "anti-shake" by the various manufacturers. It is "for real" and makes a visible difference most of the time. If you are using an average point and shoot camera without a monstrous zoom lens, you will see the difference in lower light situations where the camera will be using about 1/60th of a second or lower. If you are using a telephoto lens, the effect will be noticeable at roughly anything… [cont.]

What is the job of a reduction valve in a 2 zone baseboard heating system?
Q. My boiler is approx. 50 years old. I have a reduction valve that is shaped like a bell. The lever either goes from one side to the other, but it is very loose and does not seem to catch anything. How does the reduction valve work, especially in a 2 zone situation?
Asked by oneakmusic - Wed Oct 29 21:46:59 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. You have a hot water system. A "reduction valve" is used to lower the pressure of the incoming supply to around 12 psi. Above 30 psi the pressure relief will pop and push out water to your floor. Often these two valves come together looking like double bell valves. Ideal house pressure is 40psi. It is also used to automatically fill the system to the set pressure. The flip lever on the top is a bypass to allow you to direct fill the system. It seems to not be functioning or the pressure on both sides is nearly equal. It has nothing to do with the two zone system. It is part of the supply line to the boiler used to fill the system only to the set pressure. The zone piping takes heat from the boiler for distribution.

How can I get more humidity reduction from my HVAC?
Q. When the temperature is above 90 degrees and the humidity is above 90% (typical for Washington, DC summer), our HVAC has a very hard time keeping the humidity down to a comfortable level. Are there any ways to improve the humidity reduction capabilities of my HVAC system, or do I have to install a separate whole house humidifier? I meant dehumidifier, not humidifier!

A. The best way would be to have your indoor coil replaced to one that is 1/2 ton larger than your outdoor coil. This removes much more latent heat(humidity). I know it's not cheap but it is effective.

Can you have labia reduction surgery without it being considered a cosmetic procedure?
Q. The size of my labia is causing irritation and major pain. Labia reduction surgery has been on my mind for a while but it is too expensive and because it is considered cosmetic my insurance plan does not cover it. I can not bare it any longer, I simply cant live this way, it hurts to just sit and walk!
Asked by Kriss - Mon Jul 21 23:38:34 2008 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The unfortunate fact here is that no one any good at it will do it for that which insurance wants to pay. I have had a few patients try to get insurance to pay them back after the surgery but they have only been occasionally successful. It might be that I am a plastic surgeon. This gives insurance companies the cosmetic exclusion that they love so much on denial paperwork.

A. i had a breast reduction in oct 08. my scars are already fading. my friend who had the same surgery last year by the same doctor has scars that are barely visible. you have to look super closely to even see that they are there. however, i look at the scar as a very small price to pay for all the benefits that a breast reduction bring. i am VERY happy with my decision to do it.

Tax reduction for feeding kids at your house?
Q. I have 2 children who get watched by this lady who comes to my house to watch them. She also has 2 other kids she watches and brings them with her. I supply the food for all the kids, I heard I could get a tax reduction for feeding other kids. Is this true? What do I have to do? Thanks.

A. I've personally never heard of a tax reduction just for feeding children in your house. Now if you run an actual day care center from your home and provide food for the children then that would be a business related expense that can be tax deductible. I can thing of places you could try to report the expense to receive a reduction but they expenses really don't fit.

Why do people debate the reductionist view on evolution without even understanding what is a reduction?
Q. Some people confuse the question of evolution and the question of the reductionist view on evolution. I think any scientist must accept evolution because the evidence is overwhelming. However, the reduction of evolution to the known laws of physics is a completely different question. Accepting evolution is not a question of proof. It is a question of evidence, and we have a lot. However, the question of its reduction to the known laws of physics is a question of proof. A reduction is a mathematical process. Not surprisingly at all, we don't have such a proof. A lot of the debate around evolution is related to this fact: we cannot tell if such a reduction exists. I feel that the pro evolution scientists feel threatened by this situation… [cont.]

A. Hierarchical or " greedy " reductionism. Will be back when I have crunched some numbers. You, in the mean time, define your reductionism. Yours sounds " greedy. " Would you reduce the Battle of Waterloo to the movement of quarks and muons? Be not so quick to try to reduce biology to the laws of physics. Life opposes entropy. The only thing evolutionary scientists like me worry about is creationists/ID supporters and social scientist who will not come to terms with the implication of evolution by natural selection for humans. Be content that the biological processes do not violate the laws of physics. So constrained as to fit quite well within, without being reduced to said laws.

Q. I am in the military (AF) and I was wondering about how long the process takes to get a breast reduction. For instance, how many consultations will I need with my PCM in order to get referred to a plastic surgeon? Will I have to go speak with a psychatrist first?
Asked by tiffeni2 - Thu Jun 11 12:29:38 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It depends on what size breasts you have and also if you have documented problems caused by your breasts. Such as, back and neck pain, rashes, shoulder indentation, headaches and many other things. I am a 38DDD and my PCM told me her could get me approved (my husband is active duty Marine). However, when he was on recruiting duty we were seen at a civilian doctor and I asked for a reduction and TriCare said I was not large enough! But, when we got stationed at Cherry Point my doc said he could get me approved no problem because he got another woman who was smaller than me approved. I think as long as your doc is actually on base it is easier for approval. Stupid, but true. Good luck. p.s. A breast reduction is a MEDICAL procedure… [cont.]

What are the risks of a breast reduction?
Q. And what is the difference between a breast reduction and a breast lift?
Asked by Alicia - Tue Sep 30 12:46:28 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. In a reduction they reduce the size of your breasts, and usually do a lift at the same time In a lift, they work with the muscles to physically LIFT the breasts from their current position - usually without reduction there are many risks - of course any time you are put under there is a risk - infection is a huge risk - there is the risk of not being able to breast feed - and a botched plastic surgery procedure can lead to several complications i have considered it myself as I have large breasts - but i have decided to wait until i'm all done having children - cause they will only get worse, and it is very important to me to breast feed (16 weeks pregnant!) Be sure the DR you are going through is GOOD at what he does - ask to see… [cont.]

Asked by maria#1 - Mon Feb 25 14:29:39 2008 - - 12 Answers - 0 Comments

A. This is a VERY complicated procedure...and that's JUST to get the ball rolling. Although your insurance "may pay" for the procedure, most companies will require a stringent amount of criteria to be met; often taking months of documentation and regular follow-ups with your medical provider. A most recent patient of mine wanted this done. She is only 15, but has had significant esteem/psychological affliction due to this, as well as physiological strain as well. Despite meeting a great deal of the required criteria, the insurance company refused because they set a required amount of breast tissue that must be removed that would have been more than she could have sacrificed. So, in the end, they did nothing despite verbal and written… [cont.]
